- Looking terrific in a Tux, Reg Park listens attentively as IFBB Secretary Winston Roberts informs the audience Reg has been chosen to head IFBB Professional Bodybuilding. He will also stage the Pro Mr. Universe this year.

- Tall Class competitors await their fates as pre-judging rolls along.

- Dennis Stallard, renowned bodybuilding authority from Wales, did a great job organizeing the contestants for inspection.

- The first through fourth finishers in the Short Class were: (L to R) Nicolas Kemp, 3rd; Wilf Sylvester, 1st; Renato Bertagna, 2nd; Jeff Alexander from Wales was 4th.

- Wilf Sylvester, Nicolas Kemp, Jeff Alexander and Renato Bertagna give a required "Relaxed Side View" during pre-judging.

- Albert Beccles and Robin Robinson flash impressive muscularity and massiveness in this posedown.

- Robinson, Gerard Buinoud and Beccles give three spectacular versions of what the Most Muscular pose should look like.

- Janko Rudman from Sweden and Walter Milner of Canada tied for fifth in the Mediums with 163 points each. A special posedown was arranged and by the barest of margins, Janko edged Walt for the award.

- Nicolas Kemp of Belgium was formidable competition for the Short Class victory, Wilf Sylvester.

- TALL CLASS ELIMINATION It's no easy matter picking the winner from among the best developed men representing thirty-seven nations. The Tall Class was contentious and difficult for the IFBB judges to separate the contenders.

- Eddie Wolinski, the first posed contestant on the left was eliminated after this series of poses.

- The Top FIve: Ken Waller, Ben Herder, Paul Grant, Roger Walker and Mike Katz. Herder was awarded 5th and became an interested bystander.

- The final foursome: Ken Waller, USA; Paul Grant, Wales; Roger Walker, Australia and Mike Katz, USA. Waller won the class and overall IFBB Mr. Universe. He's truly a champion among champions!

- The cohesive force that magnetizes people of the bodybuilding game simply obliterates social, racial and religious barriers. Here is vibrant collage of outstanding musclemen representing ten nations scattered throughout the globe. Ah . . . what an exciting array of muscular athletes gathered together for the IFBB Championships! 1) Arthur Barker, Canada. 2) Albert Beccles, England. 3) Hydeyuki Kosaki, Japan. 4) Renato Bertagna, Italy. 5) Walter Milner, Canada. 6) Roger Walker, Australia. 7) Ben Herder, Holland. 8)Karl Kaihrath, Austria. 9) Ken Waller, USA. 10) Paul Grant, Wales. 11) Gerard Buinoud, France. 12) Serge Jacobs, Belgium.

- It wasn't an easy matter selecting the best developed men out of the total of ninety-one superbly built athletes. And yet, the IFBB panel of judges were faced with this horrendous task. The final decisions about the placings were judicious and popular with the contestants as well as the cheering galleries. But as you look at these modern day Titans, it can be surmised that they are all winners! 1) Ken Waller, USA - 1st Tall Class and Mr. Universe. 2) Gerard Buinoud, France. 3) Eddie Wolinski, Canada. 4) Walter Bubenicek, Austria. 5) Ugo Romano, Italy. 6) A. Carmeu, Italy. 7) Arthur Barker, Canada. 8) Paul Grant, Wales. 9) Chris Keyser, South Africa. 10) Roy Hilligen, South Africa. 11) Baldo Lois, Spain. 12) Giuseppi Deiana, Holland.

- The individual posing routines kept the audience in an uproar of excitement. Without a doubt, they knew these were the best amateur musclemen on earth.
