Team Universe

Kai Greene wins the overall for this year’s NPC Team Universe, held last night in New York City. Kai also won it in 1999. Vickie Nixon wins the women. Complete results for men and women.

Its been two weeks since the NPC Teen, Collegiate, and Masters Nationals, and I’ve still been unable to obtain complete results. The time to start advertising next year’s contest is the day after this year’s event, and the way to do that is to publicize this year’s results.

NPC Teen, Collegiate, and Masters Nationals

The NPC Teen, Collegiate, and Masters Nationals were held today in Pittsburgh. It may take a while for all the results to get posted on-line as they usually don’t show up on the NPC website for a week or two after the event, and its not one the bodybuilding magazines usually cover. However, the Masters 40-50 classes have been posted to the Mayhem forum, and I’ve typed them into the database here. Rusty Jeffers won the Super-heavyweight class, the overall, and received a Pro card to compete in the Masters Olympia. Too bad the Masters Olympia was canceled this year. There were rumors that it would be held along with the regular Olympia, but that does not now seem to be the case. Last week Rusty also came in 2nd in the supers at the NPC USA Championships.

All you Colt Magazine and video fans will know Rusty as Carl Hardwick. That is a topic for its own blog entry, which I hope to get to soon.
