Andro Ban Passes Senate

S 2195, the Senate’s version of the Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004, was approved by the Senate and has been sent to the House. The House had already passed a similar bill, HR 3866. Now the differences will be worked out in committee.

Among other things, the HR bill provided for increased penalties for anabolic steroid offenses near sports facilities. Have to protect adult athletes the way we protect kids in grade school, you know.

One feature in the Senate bill is kind of strange:

Authorizes the Attorney General, upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, to exempt from regulation any compound, mixture, or preparation that contains any anabolic steroid, that is intended for administration to a human being or an animal, and that does not present any significant potential for abuse because of its concentration, preparation, formulation, or delivery system.

What does this mean? It means you’ll still be able to buy pro-hormones in concentrations and forms, as long as they don’t work. Expect to see lots of ads with “The maximum legal dose allowed by law.”

i would just like to say that i might just choke the people who want to pass this law, or the people who passed it. I hate you.

  2. Chris Hoffman Says:

They get rid of andros, but wont get rid of the real threats to health (i.e. Cigarretts, alcohol, etc) Probibaly because the people who passed the andro bill drink and smoke anyways. It is all bullshit!!!!!

  3. Kev Says:

I agree, those idiots that passed the law are just hypocrites and *******. They put nine months of effort on something that doesnt even have any great significance. As far I am concerned the united states should be concerned of other things. Just watch the documentory SUPER SIZE ME and youll see my point. That’s just the tip of the iceburg. What about the poor all that money time and effort is going into this andro product dismissal and all that effort could be towards the poor in health, wealth, mental, so on so fourth. Put some effort for the people not for yourselves or themselves. They shouldn’t be coming up with more laws but fixing the laws that they already have. How many laws will be pass sooner or later we are going to have so many laws that we won’t have any rights for ourselves. It will be a dictatorship all over again. Maybe that’s their goal anyways subconciously, Whatever. I think they should look back on what they have now and fix it cause the trash that they have is just building up.

This is NOT about the andros. There is no reason for it to be. If they just wanted kids to stop using it they could do the same thing they have done with cigarettes and alcohol.
It is about control, control, control. Somebody sees something down the road and this is a step in that direction. I have no idea what it could be, but this whole vitamin/protein/PH control thing just doesn’t make any sense.
Tests have proven that any sides from PH pass with off time and the EU’s regulation of vitamins just amkes me scratch my head.
No, there is another agenda here and it is a mystery.

I just don’t get these politicians. What are they thinking??? A ban on Andro is the same as a ban on your rights to purchase a nutritional supplement. Are vitamins next??? What about creatine and protein??? Yet, the stupid idiots will still allow cigarette, alcohol and caffeine sales and these are actually DRUGS!!! This is where our voting power has no effect, and it is total stupidity on the government’s part to do this to us. Drug dealers can buy fully automatic weapons underground, and they are not under the scrutiny of Joe Public who is a legitimate semi-automatic gun owner, whose rights will be taken away next. I URGE EVERYONE WHO READS THIS LETTER TO CALL THEIR REPRESENTITIVES IN THE SENATE, AND CONGRESS, AND TELL THEM VERY STRONGLY THAT YOU AND MILLIONS OF INNOCENT TAX PAYERS ARE OPPOSED TO THIS BILL.

  6. Dr Ninja! Says:

the pharmacutical industry is the “dark force” pushing politicians to do there beckoning and to ultimately “remove” the competition of the supplement and vitamin idustry. we’re talking big bucks!

  7. Rick Says:

Doctors and Drug companies don’t make money from healthy people. They make money from unfit overwieght sick individuals. Make everyone unhealthy with cigs, booze and fast food and then watch your doctors get richer.

When are people going to learn…we can’t just pick and choose government power? “Kev” thinks its ok to use tax $ for social programs but complains when they use it for things that he disagrees with. What he doesn’t get is that once you give up your rights, the gov’t will do whatever it wants. Republican or Democrat, either way, the government is controlling US. This is why the Libertarian Party is the 3rd largest and fastest growing party. Are you willing to give up your favorite government program for freedom? I am! LP.org & lewrockwell.com are good places to start. The commerce clause is allowing the feds to control everything, even if it doesn?t cross state lines. Have you noticed all the groups that want to move to their own area and ignore unconstitutional federal laws?
Christian Exodus & the Free State Project to name two. If at first you don’t secede, try, try again!
